Everybody farts. It’s an inescapable fact of life and the average person farts 14-20 times a day. Sometime you need to pass gas and inconvenient times like at work or in a crowded room. While you may be able to ease it out to avoid making a sound, the accompanying smell can be more problematic. A UK-based company Shreddies believes they have come up with the answer.
They recently introduced flatulence filtering jeans that claim to absorb farts and the associated odor. These jeans are lined with activated charcoal which absorbs the fart gas. According to Shreddies, the jeans are able to absorb odor for 2-3 years. For optimal effect they advise “To avoid flatulence escaping around the filter we recommend that you stand with your legs together and try to let your wind out slowly.”
As long as the jeans fit properly the smells should be avoided. They cost about $130 which is pretty expensive but if you fart alot these could be a game changer.
The company also offers fart filtering underwear which provide double protection if worn with Shreddies jeans. The jeans are available for men and women and come in various sizes.
