It’s an age old question: How long should you be dating before you can fart in front of your partner? If you are at the start of a new relationship you are most likely still holding in your farts and when you get to your car after your date is over it’s probably like a sulfur and methane bomb going off.
The average person farts 14 times a day so you have about a liter of gas that needs to be released.
Based on a survey conducted by Mic 51% of people fart in front of their significant other six months or less of dating. 29% let one rip between two and six months.
Another survey by Provident of 2,000 couples revealed that five months is the length of time that you should be comfortable to let one go in front of your boyfriend or girlfriend.
However as with most things the best answer is it depends. Hopefully you are dating someone your can be yourself around and if one just happens to slip out the two of you can laugh it off and move on!
